Aberdare Harlequins PG1 Away

Dinas Powys Bowls Club faced a tough challenge as they travelled away to take on Aberdare in today's PG1 game. Despite putting up a fight, Dinas Powys ultimately fell short, losing the game by a score of 59-84.

 

On rink 1, Dinas Powys skip C Chapman went head to head with Aberdare's R Owen. After 10 ends, Aberdare had a commanding lead of 18-8. Despite their best efforts, Dinas Powys couldn't close the gap, and the rink finished with Aberdare coming out on top 24-14.

 

Rink 2 saw Dinas Powys skip M Woodcock facing off against C Prosser. The game was closely contested, with Aberdare holding a slim lead of 8-6 at the 10-end mark. However, Dinas Powys managed to turn things around in the second half and finished strong, winning the rink 21-14.

 

The story was different on rink 4, where Dinas Powys skip A Meddins took on J Breen. Aberdare got off to a strong start and held a 12-6 lead at the halfway point. Despite their best efforts, Dinas Powys couldn't claw their way back into the game, eventually falling to Aberdare 31-9.

 

Rink 5 saw Dinas Powys skip M Prosser battling it out against G Hughes. The game was evenly matched, with Dinas Powys holding a slight lead of 9-7 at the 10-end mark. The rink finished in a draw, with both teams finishing with 15 points each.

 

Despite the loss, Dinas Powys managed to walk away with 3 points, while Aberdare secured 11 points for their victory. The team will look to bounce back from this defeat and come back stronger in their next match."
