Gilfach Bargoed Away

In a highly anticipated Division 2 league clash, Dinas Powys Bowls Club traveled to Gilfach Bargoed for what turned out to be an intense and thrilling match. The home side started the game with a strong performance, but Dinas Powys proved that they were in it for the long haul.

At the halfway point of the match, the scores on the different rinks were as follows: Woodcock's rink from Dinas Powys was leading the charge with a score of 10-5 against Wood, Bowen's rink was trailing behind with a score of 8-10 against Williams, Prosser's rink was struggling at 4-17 against Crocker, and Chapman's rink was also facing a deficit with a score of 5-14.

However, the second half saw a remarkable comeback from Dinas Powys. They displayed great resilience and determination, eventually turning the tide in their favour. With an outstanding performance, they managed to win the game on three rinks and clinch victory by an overall margin of three.

In the final scores after 21 ends, Woodcock's rink emerged victorious with a convincing win of 19-9. Bowen's rink also showcased their skills and determination, securing a hard-fought victory with a score of 20-16. Chapman's rink exhibited excellent teamwork and skill, prevailing with a score of 28-22. Unfortunately, Prosser's rink couldn't turn things around completely and lost with a score of 14-31.

Overall, it was a tremendous effort by Dinas Powys Bowls Club, displaying their ability to rally and perform under pressure. Their strong second half performance paved the way for their well-deserved victory, showcasing the club's skill and determination. The players exhibited great sportsmanship throughout the match, making it an enjoyable and memorable contest for both teams and the spectators present.

The win will undoubtedly boost the confidence of the Dinas Powys Bowls Club players as they continue their campaign in Division 2. They can take pride in their remarkable comeback and use this victory as a stepping stone for future successes in the league.
