Penylan PG1 AWAY

Dinas Powys were treated to an inspirational speech from the captain before the Friday night game away at Penylan. The words of encouragement seemed to set the tone for a highly competitive and thrilling PG1 game.

Rink 2: Michael Pickles Prosser vs. Dan Salmon
In a challenging match-up, Skip Michael Prosser faced Dan Salmon. By the halfway mark, after 10 ends, Dinas Powys trailed with a score of 5 to Penylan's 13. Despite a strong effort in the latter stages, the rink concluded with Dinas Powys 16, Penylan 22.

Rink 3: Chris Chapman vs. Dave Harding
Chris Chapman led a closely contested game against Dave Harding. At the 10-end mark, Dinas Powys was narrowly behind at 6 to Penylan's 7. A remarkable turnaround saw Chapman’s team dominate the second half, finishing the rink with an impressive score of Dinas Powys 24, Penylan 10.

Rink 4: Alex Meddins vs. Ross Lewis
Skip Alex Meddins played a tight game against Ross Lewis, with both teams tied at 11 apiece after 10 ends. Meddins’ team pulled ahead in the remaining ends, ultimately winning the rink 22 to 17.

Rink 5: Matthew Woodcock vs. Mark Letman
Matthew Woodcock faced a tough match against Mark Letman. By 10 ends, Dinas Powys was down 5 to Penylan's 10. Despite their best efforts, the rink ended with a final score of Dinas Powys 10, Penylan 23.

After a hard-fought game on all rinks, the overall scores resulted in a tie, with both Dinas Powys and Penylan finishing with 7 points each. This evenly matched contest reflected the competitive spirit and determination of both teams throughout the evening.
